Lake:

Harjukankaan monttu (gravel pit) is an old sand take-up place, whish has over time been filled with ground water. The water come from ridge area and is clear in color. The pit is quite deep and maintains well oxygen rich water throughout the winter. Also whitefish manages well in place due to its deep water.

Fishing:

The pit is formed by three separate ponds with a shallower area between them. The perch and roach are mostly in the shallow area, with small pikes among them. There are also bigger pikes in the deeper water, which are occasionally caught by lucky fishermen. Most of the fishermen are putting their effort for getting whitefish, which are raised in the place. Stories tell that some whitefish have group to significant size.
