Description:

Lake:

Peräjärvi resides at the municipality of Alavieska, between two towns, Peräjärvi and Loppe. The lake is shallow and mostly surrounded by fields, east side limits to a wetland. Water is dark and lush but its quality is good. There are number of springs in the bottom, the lake is located in the groundwater area and surrounded by the ridges.

Fishing:

Main fish is the perch but a rich roach population explains exceptionally high density of pikes. Due to water quality, also whitefish is found from the middle parts of the lake. Whitefish and zander populations are artificially maintained. Peräjärvi is also known as a good burbot place.
